All dogs brought into Barky Baths for a grooming session must be fully vaccinated, up to date with flea & worm treatments. Any live fleas found on your dog will incur an extra charge of £10 added to the original grooming price. 

Please inform the Barky Baths if your dog has been diagnosed with any medical conditions & has sensitive skin. Every effort is made to ensure your dog has a gentle grooming experience; however, some dogs may have reactions to grooming products & procedures such as shaving. 

If your dog is in a matted state & needs shaving off as stated in the Animal Welfare Act 2006, by signing this form you are granting us permission to do so. There will be an extra charge of £10 added to the original grooming price. It’s the owners Responsibility for Clipper Burn/ rash or cuts that can occur with matted or neglected coats or any irritation/skin condition that is present after matting is removed.

Owners must inform Barky Baths if their dog bites, has bitten, or if aggressive to people, other dogs, or specific grooming procedures. In some cases, a muzzle may need to be used. If a dog becomes stressed or too aggressive the groomer will stop, and you will be contacted to collect your dog. Full Payment would still be required.

Barky Baths have the right to discontinue/ refuse/ Terminate the groom including but not limited to Kennel cough, behavioural issues, Illness, or parasites.

If a dog has a behavioural issue, the groom requested may not be completed, modified, or may take more time. An extra charge may be incurred for this.

The request to clip double coated breeds comes at the owner’s risk. You will be informed upon arrival of the complications associated with clipping this coat type, such as alopecia, shedding, balding & permanent damage to the coat’s growth. Barky baths cannot be held responsible for any damage to the coat associated with clipping.

There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is extremely sharp. Even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quickening of the nails etc. In most cases this could happen when a dog is moving around on the grooming table. I agree to allow Barky Baths to obtain medical treatment for my dog, if it appears that he/she is unwell or injured. This would be a veterinarian practice suitable at the time of need. I AGREE THAT I AM FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF ANY SUCH MEDICAL TREATMENT PROVIDED TO MY DOG. Grooming can expose hidden medical problems & sometimes aggravate an existing one, this can occur during or following a groom. Barky baths are not responsible for the death of a dog in the salon if an ongoing medical condition is present.

Any changes to my dogs medical or behavioural state must be disclosed to Barky Baths at the time it transpires.

From time to time, Barky Baths take photographs for our social media pages, please make us aware if this is not something you agree to.   YES / NO

Please try to be on time for your appointment. Unfortunately, after 15 minutes the appointment will expire and 50% of the groom cost will need to be paid. Any appointments which are missed or cancelled within less than 24 hours will be charged at 50% of the appointment cost and require payment before the next appointment can be made. You will be given a time to collect your dog after their groom. Please do not arrive early as this will excite the dog and will make it impossible to finish their groom. Please also ensure you pick up at the correct time. Late pick up can incur a £10 charge. This is at Barky Baths discretion. 

TEETH CLEANING - I understand that… The groomer will be using Emmi-Pet ultrasonic toothbrush on my dog which has no vibration, no movement, and no noise. That tartar and plaque will be removed from the teeth and that on some occasions this may cause bleeding gums. The groomer will stop the cleaning session if any loose teeth are suspected or gums bleed excessively, the dog objects and becomes stressed or aggressive or requires veterinary care. If a session must end for any health or behavioural issues, I will still pay for the teeth cleaning session in full.
